We had a very nice Christmas. It was super busy and kinda different with the house being torn up. On Saturday the 21st we went to the Wren side christmas. They did a clam bake and it was amazing!!! Very good food. It was a long party. I am so looking forward to the day when I don't have to worry about my kiddos having meltdowns cause its bedtime. I can't wait to be able to stay out later at places. By 8:00 AJ was a basket case. He did awesome the whole night but was toast by 8:00. There was an ice storm that night so driving home was interesting. And we took Grandma Wren's keys home accidentally so Jeremy had to drive all the way back out to Franklin after we got home:) All in all though it was a good time.
Christmas eve we went to Papa John and Meme's house. I just love living so close to our parents. A two minute ride is the best. We had a great time over there. Santa brought so much stuff and the kids were in heaven. Aubrey had the most fun opening. The other two really had no idea. I have stashed their presents away in the basement. Each month I plan to bring out a few things. I think they appreciate things much more that way. My mother in law made an amazing crown roast. it was really yummy when I actually got to sit down and eat it!
Christmas morning was crazy as usual. I think Santa went overboard. Next year I am going to set a limit, an actually number of presents that Santa brings. They get SO MUCH from everyone else. It just all becomes overboard. I say this every year but next year I am going to really try. Since we didn't have a kitchen I took a quick trip over to McDonalds for breakfast.
After naps Christmas day we headed over to my parents for more fun! We had an awesome dinner of filets. We had a dance party and opened presents. There always a lot of laughter at my moms. The house is so cozy and warm. The kids didn't want to leave but after all the parties Jeremy and I were pooped! Again AJ started to get crabby. Its like he hits a wall.
Im happy to see the holidays go. It was fun for sure but its always such a busy time. I like the boing old ordinary life much better:) I am looking forward to the kitchen getting finished and spending the winter with my babies. I hope you Christmas was just as magical!

Thanksgiving 2013
We usually host Thanksgiving but the past two years that has went out the window. Last year Aiden was born on black Friday. And this year no kitchen:( We went to my mom and dads and had a nice time. It was actually nice not to have to stress about hosting.

Aiden turns 1!
A few weeks ago my last baby hit the big 1! Originally we planned for a big party at the house. I like going bug fir the first birthday. Decorating, food, cake, and the traditional piƱata that I have done with all the kids. Well that plan got flushed down the toilet when the kitchen flooded. So we had to think of plan B. We thought about waiting until end of Jan when the kitchen was done and going forward with the original plans. But then we just decided to scale it down and do it at a restaurant. So we went to Archie's in Livonia. The owner was great and let me decorate to my hearts content. It was super small but honestly we all had a blast. It was perfect. Food was great and my kiddos loved celebrating their baby brothers big day. The next day which isAidens real birthday we were able to lay low. We went out to breakfast and then cooked a turkey dinner in our stellar rented oven:) Then we had leftover cake.
