January is gone…praise God! What a month. I have been in a major funk as this is one of the snowiest/cold Januarys on record. Seems as if the trend continues because this months not looking much better. The kids are sick of being cooped up every day. Emma wakes up every morning and asks where we are going. Taking them out is hard but it becomes a major mountain when its this cold. We manage to do a few things a week. The rec center has a preschool playtime everyday that they like. The mall is also fun for them. But this comes with risks too. GERMS!! Everywhere. I know I have to get over it. I just can't wait until we can go for a walk or go to the park. Or even just go swing in the backyard. Both kids were getting teeth this month which made things extra fun. Emma got her last two year molar. AJ got his two upper 1 year molars and canine teeth. I was sick at the end of the month. A good dose of Zithromax knocked it out of the park. Now Im afraid Emma has gotten it:( We have been spending a lot of time indoors doing crafts (thanks Pinterest) and getting the house back in order from the remodel. We moved most of the toys to the basement. We made a little playroom down there and the kids have enjoyed going down. Aiden is like a tornado these days. You can't take your eye away for one second. He rips everything apart. The boy needs to get outside with nature!! He started walking this week. Took about 15 steps on Friday. So we are on our way to a whole new freedom! He is spoon feeding himself and wants to do EVERYTHING this sisters are doing. Emma is still doing well with potty training. She pees great in the potty but consistently does not poop in it:( But hey I will take anything. We are still saving on diapers. I know eventually she will get it. Aubrey is a big girl now. She is still enjoying kindergarten. Her teacher suggested that she would maybe be a candidate for Livonia's gifted program. Jeremy and I decided after visiting the school that it just wasn't a good fit for our family right now. We didn't have her tested. She LOVES Hoover. She is not complaining at all of being bored and Im not sure she would have really qualified in all areas. There is something to be said in going to school with children in your neighborhood. She loves school and her friends. She is happy and subsequently we are too. We can definitely test her at any time if things change. Im hoping to start posting more. I have not gotten out my Canon to take pics since the beginning of January. That should indicate my mood. I am a picture freak when there is nice weather. Please mother nature can we get a break soon???? Here is a bit of an iPhone dump from the past 6 weeks!
